Causes I support

Natur-ohne-Jagd.de

Natur ohne Jagd e.V. is a registered animal welfare association recognised as a charity that actively campaigns to protect our animals against the arbitrariness of today’s hunting. Not only 5 million wild animals are affected, but also around 400,000 domestic animals every year. Hunting damages our environment, destroys nature and helps or benefits no one – least of all the forest or the animals.

Retriever-and-friends.de

is a registered German animal welfare charity based in Utting am Ammersee. Run entirely by volunteers, it helps dogs in need – with a focus on retrievers and their “friends”, i.e. also mixed breeds and similar dogs looking for a new home for various reasons. Its work covers taking in surrendered and former breeding dogs, their medical care and social support in foster homes, and placement in suitable permanent families. The association attaches great importance to advice on keeping dogs and to a careful selection of suitable adoptive families. The aim is to give every dog a lasting second chance and to place it in a loving “forever home”.

PETA.de

PETA Germany was founded at the end of 1993 and is the country’s largest animal rights organisation. PETA’s partner organisations are supported by more than 9 million people worldwide. In its animal protection campaigns, PETA Deutschland e.V. brings together scientists and the judicial and enforcement authorities to stop abuse. PETA uses media-friendly means and spectacular campaigns to inform the public about animal abuse and to put pressure on those responsible in business and politics.

Wildtierschutz Deutschland.de

Wildtierschutz Deutschland was founded in 2011, is a non-profit animal welfare organisation and works without staff costs! Donations are tax-deductible. Its aim is to abolish hunting where it is cruel or does not follow a reasonable cause within the meaning of the German Animal Welfare Act. Hundreds of thousands of foxes and wild boar, millions of birds and other wild animals often die in agony so that a handful of recreational hunters can have their fun. Politicians and legislators are in league with the hunting and forestry lobbyists and persistently refuse to acknowledge the results of scientific research demonstrating the ecological absurdity of hunting.

Lusttoeter.de (initiative against hunting)

stands for a committed position critical of hunting in the interest of wildlife and animal protection. The platform is linked to the well-known anti-hunting brochure Der Lust-Töter, which has for years been used as an influential source of information and arguments to bring the debate on hunting, wildlife and nature conservation to a factual and critical level. Its content questions traditional hunting practices, sheds light on ethical and ecological aspects of how we treat wild animals and encourages finding ways to a more nature-friendly, respectful coexistence of humans and animals. Many animal lovers use the materials for education and as a basis for a considered dialogue on animal welfare and biodiversity.
